The Valley CARE Coalition endeavors to take on collaborative projects that improve accessibility to resources and spread awareness through education. Some of our past projects include community pen pals with seniors; a county wide resource guide mailout; an after school tutor program for kids that struggled with remote learning; and multiple assessments to better inform our efforts. Check out some of our work below and visit the Get Involved page to reach out.
Mental Health Awareness Walk
Hosted every May for Mental Health Month.
"When we recover loudly we prevent others from suffering silently."
We hold two Community Meetings each year - one in the Spring and Fall.
It is an opportunity to share what we are working on and hear community input about where we should be headed.
See a variety of resource lists and guides related to behavioral and physical health for Eastern MT as well as some of our community assessments.
QPR & MHFA Training
We have a local QPR Suicide Prevention trainer & Mental Health First Aid trainer! We will coordinate and put on sessions for free regularly and upon request. Learn more by visiting the page.
Radio Learning Series
We are regularly on KLTZ/KLAN Live Under the Big Sky talking about behavioral and physical health issues. Keep an eye out and listen to old sessions on the station's Soundcloud!
